Scientific Session Abstract Submission
- Submissions Open: March 1, 2025
- Submission Deadline: May 1, 2025
Submissions will be judged based on their scientific quality, innovation, and importance to the field of foregut surgery/medicine. Abstracts will be assigned as Poster presentations or, for the highest-ranked abstracts, as Oral/Podium presentations.
Rules for Submission:
- Abstracts must be publication-ready and include the following sections: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
- The abstract should be no more than 300 words (excluding title, author names, and affiliations).
- All authors and affiliated institutions must be listed beneath the title.
Abstract Categories:
- Esophagus (Benign Conditions) – GERD, Achalasia, Motility
- Esophagus Neoplasia – Barrett’s Esophagus, Cancer
- Stomach
- Endoscopic Foregut Surgery – including Endobariatrics
- Bariatrics – as it relates to Foregut disease
- Education/Training
- New Technologies
- International
- UGIRA
Note: The data should not have been published or presented at a major medical meeting. However, abstracts presented at institutional or local meetings are eligible for submission.

After the Data...
- Podium presentations are encouraged to submit to the AFS Foregut Journal for consideration of publication by December 31, 2025.
